Course Description:

Zinc is an emerging architectural metal in the US due to its numerous benefits and ability to obtain points for
LEED certification. This study will:

 Walk participants through zinc’s history and its uses leading up to its uses as an architectural metal

 Showcase zinc’s various capabilities and benefits for building design and aesthetics from exterior and interior applications

 Gain knowledge of architectural zinc’s performance in the environment as well as comparing it to other metals and building materials

 Show that life cycle benefits of architectural zinc are demonstrable and are proven to far outweigh the initial upfront costs
